Re: Media Player 11 and horizontal lines

If it happens with one specific codec, yes, that may be possible. If it
happens with more than one codec, the first suspect is then the video card
driver. =\

Actually the folks at Roxio cured my problems. I got a new Codec pack at
http://www.skynet4ever.tk/
And the issues went away on v.10 (I don't like v. 11).
Everyone says it is a codec issue with Media Player when this issues
arises.

Green lines should represent a video card driver problem - turn down
video
hardware acceleration or upgrade your driver and you should be fine-

I guess the new Media Player 11 got pushed to my PC. I am running a new
Dell
desktop with a Radeon X600 card and a digital widescreen monitor set to
1280x800. I had been playing movies I had made in Roxio and others made
in
Movie Maker fine on this PC under the previous Media Player (v 10). Now
it
seems the movies (only those captured/created with Roxio) play with
green
horizonal lines across them. The movie made with Windows Movie Maker
play
fine.

Is this an anomoly of v. 11? Is there some setting I need to adjust?
At
the
advice of someone I removed the v.11 but the problem now exists with
v/10
where it didn't before.

thx!
