I this is still with us in WMP11-B2. Drives me nuts too. A sort of workaround
is to leave the player maximized, but then you lose the transport controls of
course (which is ok if you have a multimedia keyboard as I do).
I hope this can be looked at again for a future release.

I too find this feature very annoying. Maybe if enough people agree something.
might get done about it?

I agree. I use all of my apps in full-screen mode and have a few System Tray
icons that I frequent. Every time I run my cursor over the player, it pops
up. This is horrible for people who use programs such as Photoshop that have
tool palates you might want to anchor to the bottom of the screen or apps
that utilize a "taskbar" like IE where important informaiton is displayed.
PLEASE ALLOW US TO DISABLE THIS "FEATURE"!!!

That truly sucks--it's a significant usability oversight, in my opinion,
because it not only blocks icons on the desktop, but documents and webpages
underneath it, too--and because it's right next to the system tray, it's very
easy to accidentally mouse over the mini-player.
Thanks for passing this feedback to the product team.

No, the toast is wired into the mini-player skin's script. I'll pass the
suggestion on. =)

When WMP is in mini-player mode, every time you mouse over it, it pops up
"toast" (like MSN Messenger's notifications) showing me what's playing,
and a
volume slider. Problem is, this toast pops up over icons that I need.
I tried clicking on it, to make it go away, but instead, it brought up the
visualization window. Every time I click on it after that, it just
changes
visualization.
To get rid of it, I have to click the little "Show Video and
Visualization"
button. This becomes a pain to do every single time that I accidentally
mouse over the mini-player.
Is there any way to permanently disable the toast?
