Re: Burned CD skips tracks...

Yes! Some say no, and I think those are the ones that will play. So we are
off to a good start, thanks for taking the time to go back and check out my
post. So now that they are "protected" now what can I do? I understand
artists and execs don't want people giving away their music, but someone like
me who has bought almost every song on my computer can't seem to do what I
want with the music I paid for.

So if you have a way to get around this, it is much appreciated! Thanks
again!

Do the tracks you are trying to burn show up as "Yes" in the Protected
column in WMP's Media Library?

First time I posted here. Looked everywhere trying to find a answer to
this.
Hopefully somebody knows. If the following question was answered already,
I
am sorry, I checked back many pages and didn't see anything similar, but I
could have overlooked...

Basically I spent days and days ripping all of my CDs I own to put on my
computer to make CDs of them later. I would put over a 100 songs on each
CD,
I saved them as data rather than audio. Well it worked great. Then my
hardrive crashed and I lost almost everything. After they fixed it for me
I
got it back and had to put all of my CDs back onto my computer again.
This
time when I try to burn data cd's most of the tracks simply will not burn.
When I play a CD some will play, most won't. When a song won't play the
CD
player in my car reads 'TRK SKIPPED'. I looked it up in the book and the
Pioneer manuel says: 'The inserted disc contains WMA files that are
protected
by DRM.'

I tried to find info on DRM and basically I get the idea it's some type of
protection so you can't do what I am doing? I bought all of my CD's and
simply want to have less CDs in my car. I would take all of my Radiohead
CD,
for example, and put all of their albums on one burned CD.

I am just guessing the DRM is the problem. What I don't understand is,
why
did I have no problem before the harddrive crash? Before I could burn a
CD
and all 120 tracks would play. Now I'm lucky to get 20. Is there
something
to download to avoid that? Or is there some type of option in Nero or
Windows Media Player. Or do I have to buy a program to turn all of those
WMA
files into MP3 files. Or does Nero do that. Sorry this is so long, but I
figured I'd make it very detailed so whoever helps me has a pretty good
idea
of what I'm talking about.

Thanks in advance, to whoever...

Gary
