Downloaded WGAPluginInstall.exe -- OK for both Win2K & WinXP?

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Hi All,

I tried to play a regular movie DVD on my WinXP-Pro/SP2 and it failed,
I believe, because I didn't have a recognized codec. Windows
Multimedia Player display a graphic of the CD and the names of some
pricipals associated with the movie, but no frames from the movie.

Is this WGAPluginInstall.exe codec appropriate for my machine?

Is it also appropriate for installation on my grandson's
Windows2000/SP4 machine?

Thanks in Advance,
Richard
