RE: WMP not burning data CD now

Gus,
Mine have done the exact same thing. Both when I have made the Cd's on
Nero and on WMP. I don't know why it does this, to me it wasn't that big of a
deal, so I never really looked into trying to change the order. It is a
little annoying though. I can't tell you if there is a way around this or
not. I'm glad that you got the burning of the data to work for you though!

You know? for some wierd reason, I am able to burn audio cds in Data,
however, do you know how to make WMP respect the order you put the files in.
I will build a list a a certain order, and when I play it back, they all play
in alphabeticle orer.

do you know why?

Thanx Rachel

Gus,
Good news! I figured out why mine wasn't working, and hopefully it will be
the same problem for you. I had some songs on my list with empty files, like
the song was deleted and didn't work anymore. But I did not know this and
when I tried to burn my list with these songs on it it would just not work.
These is how you can tell if the song is not there, when it lists the song
and than on the right of it list the time and size of the file, if it does
not list this time and size and only the song title this is a empty song with
nothing there. See if this works for you, and than just uncheck that song. If
not, sorry if this is not your problem! Let me know if it works for you
though, I'm interested to find out if this is your problems too!

Tommygal,
I'm about to jump out a windo. I'm still trying to figure this out. I'll
probably just buy a Cd burning software. I'll will let you know if I'm able
to figure this out.

Hi, I always burn to CDR and mostly as Audio CD. Sometimes as Data CD.
Recently i'm trying to burn a Data CD on a CDR and WMP says "ready to burn"
so i click "start burn". It doesn't burn though and give me no error
message. i have a CDRW 4x burn drive, and i've tried it at all speeds (1x,
2x, 4x) but i can't get it to work :(
I've tried with multiple CDRs, all same brand. The other times i burnt Data
CDs it was a different brand, but i doubt that could be the prob since the
disc right? All the files in my playlist to burn are MP3s and the total is
652.16MB and it says the disc has room for all that (each file says "ready to
burn")

Any thoughts? THANKS SO MUCH!

I have :
Windows Media Player version 10.00.00.3646.
Windows operating system version - WinXP Pro SP2
