What data does WMP shows you under the Help:About:Technical Support
Information link? That should have information about the MPEG decoders WMP
is using on your system. =)

I, Bryan Pinto am the original poster and did not mention anything about
audio.
The issue is i had WMP10 and till a few days ago, both audio and video
worked fine for my profile (admin). Then video for mpeg fils would not
play.
I can hear the audio, but no video. Funny thing is, i tried to do that
under
my son's user account (Limited) on the same PC, and video plays with
audio.
I have not installed anything new on my PC, and my son cannot (no rights).
I
then updated to the Beta WMP11 player in the hope that the issue would go
away. But it did not.
The mpeg files also do not play under Winamp (black screen, only audio can
be hard). It does play under Quicktime (Video & Audio). But I hate Qtime.
All
your help will be highly appreciated. Thanks

No, audio is usually unrelated to the checks Deccheck makes, it
determines the ability to playback (specifically) DVD video content
using MPEG decoders.
The problem with hijacking threads like this is now I don't know if
you're the original poster under a different name, you're reporting an
entirely distinct problem, and I have no details about the type of
files which are causing you an issue.
Perhaps it would be better to start a completely new post, detailing
what files you are trying to play and what was installed just before
you lost audio on them.

Visual is
fine. Can I run the same DecCheck for this problem? There was a post on
this
site regarding this problem, but I didn't check for a few days, and now
I
can't find it.

(Only sound plays, no video). I upgraded to the Beta Edial Player 11
and
still the same. The same clips play in QUicktime & ITunes..What could
be
wrong? How can I fix it. Thx
Hmm it wouldn't normally go missing unless some other software was
installed that overwrote the existing decoder (remember installing
anything recently ?)
What does DecCheck say about the installed MPEG decoders ?
