I just recently put a new computer together. Installed XP...everything
is fine. But one thing that surprises me is that all videos I play

turned way down. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to
brighten it. Anyone have any ideas? How could WMP, by default, be
dark?

I've seen a few questions like this and no answers yet.I checked the WMP FAQ but nothing is listed (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/faq/playing_files.mspx)

If you're also having issues with other video-playback software, I'd be 1) looking to see if it's specific to the file-type: is it all video types: WMV, MPEG, MOV (Quicktime) or just one affected
2) looking for latest version of video drivers.
