Hi,
All of my music files are stored on a networked server. If I start WMP
11 when not connected to the server the library page just hangs. Is
there any way to get WMP to cache its internal database of files

not then I think its a real oversight on Microsoft's behalf.
It does that, yes. I wonder if a useful feature request might be to
allow the user to set a connect timeout (say up to 10 seconds) if the
network library data isn't available.
What *sort* of network is it ? My NLSU shows up as a windows share,
i.e. it's a NetBIOS box sunning Samba. I suppose it's just possible to
figure a way to tweak the network search parameters in NetBIOS on the
windows box, to reduce the number of searches done before it reports
an error finding the external server.
