Well, I have a lot of CD's I ripped myself which I locate info for first then
I rip them which makes DJ mixes easier (if its a popular CD), otherwise
manually editing every file is tedious.
This is an expansion from my earlier post:
In WMP gather all the files you want to edit and highlight them, click edit.
You can edit groups of songs together, click the radio box(s) next to every
tag that will be the same across the CD, go to Pictures Tab, add a cd cover.
Every song will now have that cover
If you already knew that and all your files are already edited then using
WMP11, go to Library > Ablbum > search (for that album) > right click on the
album cover > "Update Album Info".
This is apparently supposed to do what we want but will not always work,
especially for those weird filenames.
here are some resources:
"Tip In some circumstances, you can update the media information for an
entire album with just two clicks. In the Category pane of the library (the
pane on the left), right-click an album, and then click Update Album Info.
Windows Media Player will try to find a match in the online database. If it
can, the Player will update the media information in the library without any
further intervention by you. If the Player can't find a match, no form will
be displayed for you to enter additional search criteria or to manually enter
the correct media information"
From
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/knowledgecenter/howto/AlbumInfo_how_to.aspx
Be aware that all existing information, including information you entered
manually, will be overwritten if you choose to update.
Add album art
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/windowsmediaplayer/wmp10/addalbumart.mspx
A MS site has the question perfect but such a bad answer
"Q.Can I update information for an entire album or CD at once?"
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/faq/library.mspx
Hope something helped.

Thank you for replying my question.
I don't want to talk too much about the second point, because as I said in
the first post, was a very specific issue, but as you can see, that song
doesn't have any special characters or anything wierd. And I have tryed
removing the album name and other things to get to that result with no
success... Anyway, that's not important.
But regarding to the first point, I want to thank you for giving me other
methods to accomplish that task, but if there are other methods to do
something, doesn't mean that the problem is solved (at least, I see that as a
problem).
Your example was right, if I have all well labelled, why search for all the
info of the mp3 files.
Well there are other cases where someone need to do that: First if I'm not
sure the info is well typed... but mainly the best example to describe when
someone would need to find the album info for all the mp3 files, is generally
for soundtrack or electronic music albums, where the tag "Artist" is the same
as "Album Artist", but you know in electronic music, most of the tracks are
from different bands, and the Album Artist is the DJ who mix all that songs.
And that's the case where it would be nice so select all the mp3, click "Find
Album Info", and select the album only once and let WMP do all the rest
(correct the Artist tag, add the Year, other info, rename my music files and
reorder that files in the correct folders).
Isn't just nice to do all that with just two or three clicks?
Thank you, Gonzalo

1st: Finding Album Info for an entire album of mp3
Yeah, I heard that...I have to sit and wait for every song that might
already be labelled??? If you have the correct info already it might be
better to add a picture to those files as a group since its easier to search
a pic than to search and add an album.
2nd: Search system is not so good\
You say 'search system' but I think you mean 'search for music info'? Like
any search generator you have to be spcific or unspecific and change keywords
around. The WMP album search (which I assume uses the MSN search engine) is
shooty and tempermantal. For instances like Sigur Ros (which has an accent
over the "o") it gets tricky. Don't use special characters or too many words,
like this paragraph. Leave out album and artist names if you can, be simple.
I gave up on allowing WMP to update my library, I do it myself and add my
own pics. You can find meta providers and Tag editors for free. Do a "MSN"
search.
