Someone from the device team could confirm for sure, but as far as I am
aware what you are trying to do is unsupported. WMP can play back local
files or files on standard storage devices, but portable devices aren't
supported for local-computer playback. =)

Have tried this twice but it still wont let me use the media files on the
Zen
Vision: M for the media library in WMP11. It wont even play them with
WMP11
without importing them onto the computer first which is what I want to
avoid
as I am low on disk space.

I had the smae problem. To fix do this. Plug in your Vision:M, go to
device
manager/Portable Devices. Right click on the Zen and uninstall it.
Unplug
the Zen and plug it back in. It should then reinstall the Zen and should
work.
That fixed it for me, expect the Media Player 11 crashes everytime that
the
Zen is connected.
Oh well.

I have a Creative Zen Vision: M portable music player which stores all
my
music on and I am running low on disk space on my computer so I want to
be
able to have all my music on my Vision: M and have Windows Media Pleyer
connect to that for its Library. Is this possible at all? At the
moment it
can't even find the MP3 player when I go to add the music files on the
MP3
player to the library.
