I ownloaded and installed the gspot. I just can't figure out how to use it to

find the problem. Can you tell me how to use the gspot?

the idea is don't install pak codecs...only the problematic codec (missing

Can you tell me how to use this? How do I get it to go through the media
player to find which codec is missing? How to I get it to add the missing
codec? As I said, this is one problem I have never encountered before.

I have never had this problem in the five years I have been using the
media
player. I get the message below whenever I click on any live feed or
video
links. An example is a live cam of baby eagles, another is an AP news
report.
When I click for information I get the message. The help file says I am
missing codecs. When I checked the files all the codecs were there. I
even
uninstalled and reinstalled the media player 10. I've reset all
security
to
original config hoping that might fix the problem. Even when using my
ISP
that provides it's own media player that is actually part of media
player
10,
I get the same message. Can someone please help me fix this problem? It
only
started occcuring a few weeks ago. I even tried restore as soon as it
started
happening and that didn't help. (I checked for the codecs by matching
them
with the ones on our other computer.)

Windows Media Player cannot play the file because the specified
protocol
is
not supported. If you typed a URL in the Open URL dialog box, try using
a
different transport protocol (for example, "http:" or "rtsp:").
