According to the setup log, you don't appear to have write access to;
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\My Music
You may want to check the permissions on that directory and the
subdirectories... ?
I'll look at the crash bucket on Monday.
Thanks for the update,
-Zach

Fault Bucket 292255507
The start of the log shows this:
Setup beginning.
=====Building Install list.
Finished building install list. Result: '0x0'.
=====Updating Install list for UI.
Package 'MYMUSIC' is version '0.0.0.7'. This is 'newer' than the version
currently installed.
Finished updating install list.
before sending update done message.
about to send update done message.
=====Setup preparing to download needed files from network.
No downloads required.
Download complete. Result: '0x0'.
=====Installing Install list. Last result: 0x0.
Installer: Preparing to set system restore point...
System restore point set.
Then the end of each section shows these results:
SUCCESS: Package 'Windows Media Format Runtime'. Result: 0x0.
SUCCESS: Package 'User Mode Driver Framework'. Result: 0x0
ERROR: Package 'mymusic10'. Result: 0xc0000005.
SUCCESS: Package 'Windows Media Default Playlist'. Result: 0x0.
SUCCESS: Package 'Windows Media Player'. Result: 0x0
SUCCESS: Package 'Windows Media Player Skins'. Result: 0x0.
Then the last 3 sentences are:
Setup complete. Result: '0xc0000005'.
System restore end point set.
Setup has failed.
Looks like something going wrong at the mymusic10 section.
Hope this helps.

In the file c:\windows\wmsetup.log , what lines contain "ERROR:"?
Were you experiencing problems with WMP previous to the upgrade? If you
send up the crash report, what fault bucket number do you get?

ok I cannot get this damn thing to load at all.
I have downloaded it and when I start set-up it runs for a few seconds
before I get an error pop up titled MLS Dbexport DLL
MLS Dbexport DLL has encountered a problem and needs to close blah blah
blah.
immediatly after that another popup occurs ...
DRM Migrate EXE has encountered ... etc etc etc.
click on send or dont send and the pop ups vanish and the WMP continues
to
load ... right to the end then states
"It was not possible to complete setup, WMP 11 was not installed,
Please
try again
but it happens every time ... any ideas ??
.
