Have you tried making the width of your Playlist wider? More info is added,
given more space.

Just wanted to express my unfavorable reaction to WMP11, although it
sounds like the new look is enough for a lot of people. I'm hoping 11
is very beta and basically unfinished because if this is it except for
a few bugs then I'll stay with 10.
I only started using WMP with version 10; up to then it was inferior to
both MusicMatch and WinAmp, but 10 was quite well done. It was almost
exactly what I wanted in my media player. I usually just like to play
my whole library at random, or drag some stuff into a play list, and it
did that well.
11 still does that, but it's fancy new views display less information
or have weird limitations (i.e. Now Playing will only show song title
and length). And it is much more difficult to see what's playing,
because the Now Playing Pane on the right no longer hops to the
currently playing song, nor does Album Art view in visualization mode,
which no longers puts any text when I tell it to display album art (I
never use visualization mode though; I really don't see the appeal) nor
does the Now Playing view, nor does anything, so the only way to see
what's playing is by the little alternating artist/title text in the
corner.
I've always prefered simple, informative views with a lot of
information over graphically appealing, not especially useful views,
but I think I'm in the minority. Maybe I'm the only one on earth who
likes to be able to see at a glance what song is playing and what album
it's from and what I've rated it; Microsoft usually moves in directions
I don't like and I suppose they must have research showing this is what
people want, but if this is the way it's going to be then I'll just
stick with WMP 10 (and if that won't work when I get a Vista PC I'll
probably wind up going back to MusicMatch,w hich I haven't tried out in
a while and which for all I know is now better than WMP 10 anyway.)
