Re: error: 0xC00D1197

My specific question is:
When the clips fail, is it only happening if they're opened directly from
email? That is, do they work if you save them to your hard drive first and
THEN play them back?

Thank you for replying, but if I understand you correctly, I do have
videos
saved on the hard-drive, (mpegs) but some that I receive in e-mail, when I
click on them, I receive the pop-up error message "0xC00D1197" & the other
error message is "0xC00D1199". I do know that the clips are valid, because
other on line friends can open them & no problem. I also tried disabling
the
firewall, spysweeper, etc but still get the error messages. New pc, dsl
connection, & Ive checked all settings in wmp settings, all file
extensions
are selected. Im running windows xp, sp2 with IE 6. WMP version 10.
Thanks
again & I appreciate any ideas for fixing these two error messages that I
get
"very often" on valid clips that others can open.

Hello

Im new to this group & need help badly on two errors I've been
receiving
on
the windows media player 10 version. When I receive certain mpeg files
from
friends in a sent e-mail, many times I get the error listed in the
subject, I
know the files are valid & the url is correct because they can open
them,
but
I always get the error message (0xC00D1197) this doesn't happen to all
the
mpegs or vids I receive, but many I receive this error message.

I have windows xp, sp2
IE version 6
new computer
DSL connection
running spysweeper, microsoft anti-spyware, & trend micro-pc-cillin
internet
security

Ive checked all my settings in options on the player, but couldnt find
anything to maybe correct it. All file extensions are selected.

Please help, if you can......

Thank you & forgive me if I've not posted correctly in this forum.
