What happens when you go to the pages:
http://zachd.com/pss/detectwmp7.htm
http://zachd.com/pss/detectwmp64.htm
in IE?

Hi,
Now it seems to be working for the most part. But I've got a new, I think
related, problem. On certain sites, when I ask to play a video in WMP
rather
than QuickTime, I get one of two errors. Using IE, when I hit play I get
an
"error on page" mention at the bottom of the frame and it won't play.
Using
Firefox, it asks me to download a plug-in. But when I try to do that, I
get a
box which says "No suitable plug-ins were found" and then it asks me to do
a
manual install. When I click on the "manual install" link, I get to this
page
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/download/alldownloads.aspx,
which appears to be asking me to download WMP 10, which I already have
installed.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Could you clarify exactly what the box says/reads?

Hi,
Whenever I try to play an Internet file using WMP 10, I get a box
asking
me
to download the software first, but it's already on the computer. I
don't
know why it isn't defaulting to WMP and just starting to play.
Anyone who can help, let me know.
