No, really, what's the exact text of the message that setup gave you? I
write that, so I should understand it. =\

It probably won't address the issue though, since I'm betting there's a
corruption in the registry somewhere. Unfortunately, due to how widespread
multimedia technology in Windows is, it's rough to pin down where, and not
rational to try without being able to play with the box directly.

Hopefully v.next is better able to recover from this type of corruption -
it's a big challenge for any software to handle that kind of thing, though.
