I ripped some audio disks to my media library as mp3s and tried to burn them (using WMP10) as a data disk for replay. Before burning them to disk, WMP converted them to WMAs and wrote them as such.
I've never seen this happen. I always get a mix of MP3 and WMAs. Are you sur you're burning a data disc, and not a music CD.
I'm using a new unformatted disk right out of the box and using the Data Disk selection.
Is there a way
around this in WMP10, or do I have to use another program to burn as mp3s? What program? I can burn them using Drag'n Drop, but that program doesn't recognize my playlists. Many thanks for any help.
Just burn it using Windows XP's CD-burning abilities. Copy the files to a CD as if you were making a backup CD of any other filetype.
I havn't tried that yet, but I think the problem will be that the order of the playlist won't be preserved, just like when burning with Drag'n Drop.
