Cannot play back the file. The format is not supported. (Error=80

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

I have been getting some attachments that I cannot open. They have an
extension <dot> email I have tried several applications and the best one
seems to be Internet Explorer but it looks like there is a lot more in the
file than I am reading as it ends with many pages of indistinguishable text.
