While I was trying to burn a cd, I received the error stated in the subject
line. I'm absolutely lost when it comes to what the problem might be, but
here are the details:
The exact error message I receive is:
"C00D11CD: Unknown error
Windows Media Player encountered an unknown error. This can occur when
another program or operating system component encounters a problem but does
not communicate the nature of the problem to Windows Media Player."
The files I am trying to burn were ripped using Media Player 10.00.00.3646.
My current media player version is also 10.00.00.3646
My OS is XP Home v2k2 SP 2.
I am using a Slimtype DVDRW SOSW-852S.
I have tried TDK cd-r's as well as Memorex cd-r's. I have used Memorex
before in the drive I am using now with the same system configuration and
they have worked fine.
I have tried converting the files to mp3 in hopes of better results. I did
so using Lame mp3 Encoder.
Also, I have tried adjusting the burn speed within Windows Media Player.
The only other thing I have tried is changing the burn settings in Media
Player. I have tried Audio CD, Data CD, and HighMAT Audio. The one I want
is audio, but I have no luck regardless of what I try.
Any suggestions?
Thanks, David
