WMP Activation on Startup.

How do I prevent WMP from activating on startup?
Everytime I reboot, or turn off/turn on WMP pops up once I get to the
desktop, how do I prevent this?
There is no option under the Options menu, nor under any of the other menus
to keep it from doing this.
I have Windows XP Home Edition 2002 Service Pack 2.
My Windows Media Player is version 10.00.00.3646.
