Runtime Error R6025 + WMP 9 in Win98SE

Everytime I try to acquire a license for my WMA files, I get this message:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Runtime Error!

Program: C:\PROGRAM FILES\WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER\WMPLAYER.EXE

R6025

I see this one has been posted in this group for a while and it doesn't look
like anyone has found a cause or cure yet.

Any ideas anyone???
