Reloading Windows Media 9

My System recently updated my Windows Media 9 to the new edition Windows
Media 10.
However, Media 10 does not support several programs I use. I have tried to
remove or Replace Media 10 with media 9 But XP Points out that I have the
latest edition of Media 10 and stops at that point. I cant not remove or over
write Media 10with Media 9.

Any help would be welcome
