Video will not play in Windows Media Player

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

I have the correct codec installed.
I have updated my DirectX
I have no problems playing in Quick Time player
but I can not get video to play in Windows media player.

The system is new and have not installed any programs that would interfer
with video play back.

Any suggestions? I get no error codes or anything I can tell as a porblem.

Please help.
