Burning to DVD from within Windows Media Player

Does anybody know if or when Microsoft plans on putting the ability to burn
..wmv directly to DVD from within the Windows Media Player program? It seems
that when I take my vacation video and convert them to .wmv format they're
great on the computer but when I then take those and convert them to DVD
format from another program they look terrible when played back on a tv. I'm
hoping that if Microsoft built this ability into their program the quality
might be better as we wouldn't need to go to a 3rd party authoring solution.

... and do you want the ability to receive Freeview? ... I use a laptop with a USB Freeview ... I record programmes onto the hard disk -- because digital TV ... DVD recorder. ...
