Hi, I guess I have the same problem that a lot of others seem to. Here's
what I am using:
- Windows Media Player 9.0
- Windows 98SE ( I know, time for an upgrade, I'm working on it!)
- Creative MuVo TX FM (new) MP3 player with latest firmware upgrade
(1.13.3), just downloaded and installed from creative.com.
The MuVo TX FM is on the list of DRM-enabled devices at playsforsure.com.
I have also verified with Creative.com tech support that it supports
DRM-protected WMA files.
I have downloaded a DRM-protected song from walmart.com. It plays fine in
the Media Player, acquired the license okay, etc. But I get the error
attempting to copy it to my MuVo. Walmart.com tech. support says this should
work fine, that unlimited transfers to MP3 players are allowed with their
licenses.
So, Creative thinks it's Walmart's problem; Walmart thinks it's Creative
problem, and I am stuck unable to use my MP3 player for the purpose I bought
it for, which is frustrating. One last thing; my machine has USB 1.1 ports,
not 2.0. This, or the Windows 98SE issue, is the only thing I can figure out
that could be wrong. Does anyone have any other suggestions? I have tried
everything the "experts" have suggested to no avail and am at my wits end.
Your thoughts are most appreciated!
Emily
