I don't know what you are talking about. If it plays in WMP 6.4 and not WMP
10 it's a problem with 3ivX (or whatever DS decoder you have installed that
can decode MP4/M4A) How you got that you "positively cant play it in WMP10"
is beyond me. This problem has NOTHING to do with WMP. WMP can't decode,
WMP it DirectShow based, it can uses third party DS decoders to "enable"
playback.
Those files don't use standard ID3 tags, there is almost no point of trying
to get them into your Library. They can not be displayed under All Music,
and they will not have Album, Artist, track info at all in the Library.
It's hit or miss getting them added to anything. If it works it work, if
not you are stuck trying to get it to work. It's not supported under WMP
and it's not supposed to work 100%.
