Hey Mike
I genuinely couldn't find anything directly related to this query. Perhaps
I'm inexprienced in the correct searching techniques. Either way, I'm still
frustrated.
As a matter of interest I discovered something earlier this evening. In the
particular case of the tracks in question, I was not interested in the track
number so I decided to collect all the tracks together, right click and chose
advanced tag editor. I changed all the track numbers to 5. Why 5, I don't
know but I picked it. I had the track number in my naming convention. I then
proceded to observe each album in turn, rename perfectly, not one missed. The
order in which the tracks, per album, chose to do it, seemed random, but
every single track moved. This seemed promising, I thought reverse the
process, I didn't care about the track number, and I'm sure I'm on to a
winner, but to confuse the issue when I reversed the process by deleting the
track number for all the tracks, only 3/4's of them were renamed. Who knows
what is going on. Perhaps if I leave the tracks alone for a few months I'll
find them all in the right place by then. Cheers for the comments. Sutty.
