The only solution we have found at this time is to rollback to the Windows
Media Player 7.x, which was installed on the Windows Operating System.
How to uninstall in Windows Millennium Edition, Windows XP Home Edition, or
Windows XP Professional
Use System Restore in Windows. Windows Media Player 9 Series will be removed
and the previous version of the Player will be restored. Any CD tracks copied
to your computer will remain, and the previous version of Windows Media
Player will be able to play this audio content. For more information about
System Restore, see Windows Help.
You must individualize your Windows Media Player:
Login as administrator to rule out the restricted access as being the problem
Enable Cookies
Within Windows Media Player, click on Tools | Options, then select the
Privacy tab. Make sure the following 2 options are checked:
Acquire licenses automatically for protected content
Send unique Player ID to content providers
Click on the Cookies button and check these options;
Select the Privacy tab, and make sure your cookie tolerance is set to Medium
or lower
Select the Security tab, click the Default Level button in the lower right
side. If this button is not active, set the level to Medium
Select the Advanced tab, and make sure the following 2 checkboxes are
checked:
Enable Install on Demand (Internet Explorer)
Enable Install on Demand (Other)
You must remove your DRM components and licenses and allow Windows Media
Player recreate them with the next use.
For Windows ME;
Delete the all files from the folder C:\Windows\All Users\DRM
For Windows 98 SE;
Delete the all files from the folder C:\Windows\DRM
*Note: DRM is a system folder, and you may have to change your Windows
Explorer folder options settings to view the hidden files and folders and
protected system operating files.
Go to http://1.licenseserver.com/Indiv.aspx/ to download the DRM client for
the original Windows Media Player. This will download a secure folder and key
ID for your Windows Media Player to your computer from Microsoft.
You will need to re-download the Windows Media Player Installer for the
latest version of the player. It can be found at
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/cancellationPage.aspx?FamilyID=e0175119-9a5b-44c3-b1de-9b2a9aa6cff6&displayLang=en&download=true.
Please download the correct player for your operating system.
This is an installation file so all you will need to do is click on "Open"
or "Run".
Now go to http://drmlicense.one.microsoft.com/Indivsite/indivit2.htm to
download the latest DRM client for the latest version of the new player.
If you receive a License Aquisition screen stating the license is no longer
available, you must contact the content provider for new licenses.
