Well they worked when the same machine was using Windows NT SP4. OS was
upgraded to 2000 for unrelated reasons adn now I get the chipmunks.

This is my machine at work, so i am limited with what I can do with it. I
just wanted to listen to my Yahoo!Radio and WXPN while I work, like I used to
be able to.

Gotta love Winblows; that's why I run OSX at home.

Sorry, I know you're trying to help, but I hate all the BS needless tech
crap that consatnly fouls up on Winblows machines. At home I don't even know
if I have a sound card (although I bet I don't) and I certainly never mess
around with any "drivers". Any updates are set to be handled automaticlaly
by Apple.
