Hello,
I have also received this error message with an .avi file.

The video codes are both divx decoder filter, Ver: 5.2.1.1335
I am running WMP10
Windows XP SP2
i have installed fddshow, ac3 filter.

What codec are you referring to at divx.com...and where can I get from that
website?

I even tried using media player classic, however, it says "THis avi file was
not prepared for sequential reading, the alternative 'avi splitter' will now
let the deafult one handle it. The complete reinterleaving of this file is
strongly recommended before burning it onto a slow media like cd-rom"
and then:
Stream 0

Media Type 0:

AM_MEDIA_TYPE:
majortype: MEDIATYPE_Stream {E436EB83-524F-11CE-9F53-0020AF0BA770}

bFixedSizeSamples: 1
bTemporalCompression: 0
lSampleSize: 1
cbFormat: 0

Media Type 1:

AM_MEDIA_TYPE:

If any of this means anything to you, then I would appreciate some help on
how I can fix it if possible,
Thank you for taking the time to read all of this

Best Regards,
-Dan
