OK, so it's *not* in fact a WMA file on your hard drive, which changes
the issue considerably. Can you post the link?
Is it just this link? Can you play windows media file types from other
web pages, e.g. Amazon?

You should check those browsers' options for handling playback of
different media file types. Firefox, for example, does not necessarily
use the Windows defaults. Look under Tools > Options > Downloads > File
types.
