Same problem with MS XPPro (SP2). Although, I have noticed that it has only
been with new media added since the addition of WMP10. It seems to like to
lock up the application which shows up in the 'Event Viewer Log' associated
to all applications and it doesnt like to RIP or burn music to well.

If you have enough HD space, I would copy all of your music into a new
folder and then re-install WMP10. Once that is completed, either allow WMP10
search for media on your computer, or, let your new folder be the 'new' file
path for your music storage.

I hope someone can offer some other ideas, as this application 'hang' is a
real problem with WMP10/MS XPPRO (SP2).

T
