Dear chris
thank you for you reply.
i have looked through the web sites suggested and downloaded soem more codecs but for some reason iam still un able to play the file. When itry it searches for the codec and then says it is mising and gives me a choice to close the file or seek web help. so when i seek web help it comes up as cood11cd is missing.
the computer is running windows 2000 running the latest addition of windows media player that is suitible for windows 2000.
when i tried to play this file on other computers it is extactly the same thing happens.
