Chris-- I hate to do this to you, but...
Here is the PATCH from Microsoft to FIX the problem that prevented the WMP from shutting down mid-download.
All-- you're welcome, no thanks to Chris, who was too busy defening his precious Microsoft.
Good luck to anyone else having these problems!!
