Chris,
Here is the rub. Both Napster and iRiver confirm that the device is "capable" of receiving these files... but the device is not necessarily "compatible" as-is. Several areas of the iRiver support site that you and I have both been reading explain that these files are not downloadable UNLESS they "go through" the WMP. There are hoops to be jumped through here.
Napster explains that several devices MAY BE compatible, but also require some hoops to be jumped through as well. I feel like I have followed the trail of hoops form both sources and am still having trouble.
