Hello,
I have a user who would like to listen to audio cd's on there cdrom drive of their computer by plugging in their headphones in the audio jack of the cdrom. I have already changed the cdrom to analog playback in both media player and in the hardware properties of the drive. When I try to open a cd in media player it opens it, but scans through the playlist and changes the list to red. Then, it reports the error in the above subject heading. The disc works find in my system and in my car's cd player.
Does it matter that the user does not have a sound card? He was able to listen to cd's fine without one before we upgraded from 98 to xp.
Here are the specs:
OS: XP Pro all critical updates; none other
Media Player ver: 8 I believe
Soundcard: none
If anymore info is needed to deduce a possible solution let me know.
I appreciate any insight into this seemingly easy issue.
