Errolr Codes 0xC00D1197 and 0xC00D11B3

I loaded WMP9 onto my Windows XP Home Edition system and it just won't work. I am trying to listen to Canadian Radio Station CKEC at www.ckec.com. WMP9 threw up error 0xC00D1197. I looked at the help pages - help being a misnomer! - and followed the advice about checking Network options. Under streaming proxy settings Autodetect proxy setting was clicked, so I changed it to Use proxy setting of the Web browser - and got error code 0xC00D11B3.

I don't have this problem with Real Player, which works perfectly, so why doesn't WMP9 work. I checked Windows Knowledge Base some time ago and found something which said there was a known error in WMP9 for which there wasn't a fix - but that was months ago. Are Microsoft REALLY that slow, or have I downloaded a pig from their website? Perhaps they might let me know.

Otherwise can anyone else help? Please can I ask you to bear in mind that I am not a 'techie' - I just press the keys!
