I am having similar problems. I downloaded version 9, and
I have MLB.TV installed to watch baseball games thinking
this would improve over version 6.4 (original version).
No. It created a firewall and I couldn't watch the games
at all. So, I then unistalled version 9 and reverted back
to 6.4 Somehow version 7.1 is installed (without any
obvious approval from me) and the firewall is back. When
I tried to uninstall this again, my Add/Remove program
wont uninstall. I'm stuck with this and have paid $80 for
baseball games that I can't watch. Anyone have
suggestions?

>I just downloaded the WMP 9 series and now I can't get
any streaming audio or video from the web. Just prior, I
was able to view steaming web cams from sites like key
west cam-munity.com and my computer would use wmp2 version
to display the video and audio. I tried taking down my
firewall for a short time to see if that would help me
connect to the servers but to no avail. I can't seem to
get the wmp2 to be the default player, if that is what I
need to do. I would rather use the 9 series for all
applications. Error message 0xC00D1198 shows up and if I
am trying to view a streaming video demo from microsoft's
site, I get error message 800C000D. Can anyone help me?
This is very frustrating.
