streaming through a web server

Hello,
I have a big doubt about how to stream.
The problem is the following one:
I have 2 servers connected by a Local area network, where, the server 1
(web server) has internet access; while server 2 (streaming server) has no
internet access and no opened ports. So I want the user must pass for the
website first, and then if authenticated, get the video streaming opening
through the server 1 using an url like: mms://server2/trying/try.wmv or
http://server2/trying/try.wmv (which one is better? or better in this case?)
So when I try this in the same LAN it works, but when I connect from
another net, like my home, it can't open the video file.
Is it posible what I want to do? If so, what am I doing wrong?
A lot of thanks,
Arnau Campama
