Hello!
How to make WMP 11 and Windows Media Encoder 9 (x64) open HDV m2t files in
Windows Vista x64 Ultimate? A Sony Picture Motion browser plays HDV m2t files
in Windows Vista x64 Ultimate. WMP 11 and Windows Media Encoder 9 (x86) open
HDV m2t files in Windows XP Pro SP2. What codec should I install?
M2T (MPEG transport stream) files are just high definition MPEG2.
So realistically, vista ultimate should *already* have a directshow
MPEG2 decoder installed, because it's used for media center, DVD maker
and so on. WME should be using that decoder for MPEG2 video.
What happens if you just rename the file to end in .mpg instead of
..m2t : The encoders should know how to open that based on the file
extension.
