Only open the port you configured in WME for streaming. Your Internet clients
will use http://enc:port to watch/hear the stream where "enc" is your encoder's
DNS name or Internet IP address and "port" is the one mentioned previously.

I want to use Window Media Encoder 9 to stream live video.
I want to broadcast pulling form the encoder without using Windows Media
Server.
I use a ADSL connection with a modem and router in the same equipment (NTT SV3
modem in Japan).
My problem is configuring the ports, so I have a few questions:
- do I have to open only port TCP 8080 ? or I must also open
in: TCP 80, 554, 1755
in: UDP 1755, 5005
out: UDP 1024-5000, 5004
I'm also confused about which configuration in my modem-router should be used:
The modem is in Japanese so I translated 3 configuration pages that I think
will be used.
Can someone give a suggestion on how to enable somebody in the Internet to see
my broadcast ? [typing in the browser "mms://MyInternetAddress" (given by
WME)]
Thanks in advance for your help ............... Marcelo ............
