WME windows media encoder locks up router

WME encoding will eventually lock up my router. I've tried various
D-LINK routers and LINKSYS units, all without success. My
configuration is:

Insight Cable Modem with D-Link wbr2310 router (wireless is turned
off). I have 9 other PCs on the same LAN as the WME computer.
However, they are idle more often than not when the router locks up.

WME used to work flawlessly. In fact, it would run for weeks at a
time. I 'PUSH' my stream to a provider, but i've tried a 'PULL' and it
still locked up. I've switched PCs and install WME and still.... the
router locks up. Orginally the stream was pushed at 320K...i kept
slowing it down thinking i was overloading something...eventually to a
push of 129K. Still, it locks up.

Currently, WME might run for 1 day to 2 or just a few hours. The
router locks up, freezes and requires that power be cycled to restore
it to operation. Over time, it is getting worse.

What's weird is that it used to work fine. Insight has been
'rebuilding' their system and i'm wondering if they could in some way
be the cause? Has anyone had this type of issue? any solutions or
ideas?
