Hi bort
From their site "300Kbps - 1Mbps bandwidth" - I have 250+ Kbps upstream (notsure what Flashman has). What does your package give you? Does the bandwidth
split on the server each time another user accesses or does it offer
multiple 300-1000 Kbps channels?
Never went down this route so curious...

Thanks for the reply, and no offence taken. You are right, I dont know
what
im doing, however, I do know what I want to do.
Simply, stream live video and audio (of my band) to about 10 - 15 people,
wherever they may be in the world.
My computer is connected to a Lynksys wireless router. However its hard
wired (not using wireless, Thats for another computer) then to my
Roadrunner
cable modem.
So, to broadcast to more than 5 people I thought I had to push the feed
to a
server and they picked it up from there.
Correct.
I tunned my firewall off, got an outside I.P. address (I think) but no
one
gets my feed.
Any pointers.
You need a stream host. That is the server you will be pushing your stream
to, and where your viewers will have to connect to. The one I use has a
plan for $13/month for 50GB data and supports up to 30 connections
(www.serverroom.us).
If the people are trying to connect to your IP address:port then that is
"pulling" and you will be restricted by your upstream bandwidth, so 10-15
people will not be able to connect unless you set the image size and
video/audio rates so low they won't be able to make anything out anyway.
On a 1Mbps upstream connection I have had eight viewers connect directly,
but the quality was pretty crap. And if too many ppl try and connect it'll
buffer and crap out for some or all of them.
.
