What makes you think WME _needs_ this much RAM?
I don't know... I was running MS Word the other day, and it was chewing
the heck out of my CPU and eating a lot of my memory. WME is doing so
much more than reading a text document... I figured it might require
more resources. :)
I was planning on buying 2 GB memory to start with, and then upgrading
to 4 GB if I need it. From your experience, do you think two encoders
will run OK with 2 GB? If the CPU can do it, what about four encoders?
(The CPU will be a Pentium D 820 dual core 2.8 GHz.)
Thanks!
