There is no such evidence. Given a high enough bitrate and suitable
encoding settings, the webcam image may be captured essentially
unchanged from the input.

and posibally Screen recording of that webcam getting displayed will
give further degraded image quality in the recorded movie.

That's rarely the case if done properly. You shouldn't notice any
degradation to speak of. Are you limited on capture bitrate ?
