Hello all,
I am using "Windows Media 9 Encoder SDK" to capture Monitor Screen.
Where by Screen contains live video streamed from the WebCam.
(Videoconference)
Webcams and videochat programs display JPEG quality images not GIF
quality (reduced pallet) images.
My problem is I am getting bad quality of video (seems to be color is
getting BAD)
Yes, you need to select the screen capture source, then Edit the
compression to use WMV9 standard. Ignore the warnings, it'll work
fine.
Your colour range will be greatly improved at the expense of some
sharpness, and you wont see the awkward colour shifts experienced with
screen codecs on real life images.
You do know that most video chat programs and hosts specifically
forbid screen capture, to protect the privacy of their guests, right ?

Is there is any way this can be improved. Please note that I have done.
followings till now.
1. WebCam FPS set to 10 for relay.
2. Capture rate via Encoder is set to 1, that is FPS = 1
3. Key Frame Rate is set to 1
4. BPS is set to 20000000 (that is max limit for BPS)
But after the recording when I play the recorded file it shows
different colored patches in the Plain areas like WALL, Furniture, and
White paper.
Is this issue resides in the Windows Media 9 Encoder SDK or am I doing
any thing wrong.
More over same observation I have found when I recoded using Windows
Media Recorder tool with 72 FPS - 1KFR & BPS = 20000000.
am quite confused as to why the quality of video is degraded.
Can any one please show some light on this...
Please its URGENT...
Thanks to all in advance
