Using the encoder, you can broadcast to between 5-50 people depending
on settings. You can do this from a live source (microphone, camera,
cd, tv card etc) or from a pre-recorded file source.

It is also possible to have sources like : Play CD 25 minutes, play
live audio 1 hour, play TV card 2 hours, play static picture
    indefinitely.

What happens is you set up a 'live' encoding session, and set a Port
number to broadcast from your computer. You then provide your public
IP address to listeners and the Port number which you chose above
    (often port 8080)

People set their media player to connect to
    http://your.ip.address:portnumber
eg http://195.26.104.10:8080 (random example, use real values)

They should be able to see your broadcast with a short delay, maybe 10
seconds. Oh, and each listener gets a copy of the stream, so it all
adds up - eg broadcasting 20 x 40kpbs audio streams means you need
800kbps upload speed from you to your ISP and then to the internet.

My DSL is 512/256, so I could only do say 6 streams at 40kpbs for a
    total of 240kbps.

    Hope that helps.
    Neil.
