What codec does the AVI file use? There are some files which use flaky
codecs with the AVI extension. What happens
when you try to transcode form an uncompressed AVI, or any other file types?

I'm having same problem, it was working until recently,
had no problems and now I can't get it to encode anything
with out it crashing. Doesn't look as if you got any
help here!!
