When I'm encoding, encoding stops, and the following message appears in the
error log: "An unexpected error occurred with the audio codec
    (0xC00D0BC3)." Why does this happen?

This message indicates that the content cannot be encoded using the current
session settings. One possible cause of this problem is if you are using a
two-pass VBR audio encoding mode (bit rate-based VBR or peak bit rate-based
VBR), and the source audio changed between the first and second pass of
encoding. This can occur, for example, if you are sourcing from a file with
an .mpg file name extension and there is an issue with the MPEG-2 decoder.
To encode the content, you can change the session to use two-pass CBR audio
encoding. (You can continue to use a two-pass VBR encoding mode for the
video if you want.) Alternatively, you can encode the content to an
uncompressed file first and then encode the uncompressed file using a
    two-pass VBR audio encoding mode.

I'm using WME 9.0 and getting the following error:

An unexpected error occurred with the audio codec (0xc00D0BC3)

This is using CBR for both audio and video, and using the 4kbps
Windows Media Encoder Voice codec. I've read this problem can happen
when using VBR, but mine is happening with CBR. This is a machine
broadcasting live events, so this is a big problem for me. The
problem is completely random, sometimes running for days without
problems, and sometimes happening a couple minutes after starting the
    encoding.

The hardware is an Athlon 2700+ w/ 1GB RAM on an Nforce2 based Asus
A7N8X running Windows 2000. I'm using the onboard audio and an ATI TV
Wonder to capture audio/video from an RF signal. The audio sometimes
sounds garbled coming from the capture card. Anyone have any ideas on
this. I'm using the latest drivers for all hardware involved.
