Would like to add that I have tried both userdirectory$ and userdirectory
and still does not map.

Its a folder within the windows share.
\\Servername\Sharename$\userdirectory

Everything locally set would be through the AD plugin in Directory
Access. Can you confirm whether or not the home folder is a folder -on-
a Windows share or it it's actually a Windows share?
